How to deal with the thought of rain on your wedding day

Rain on your wedding day DOES NOT mean your day has to be dull! Try not to panic about the weather and really just focus on having fun and enjoying your day <3 !

Whether rain or shine, your photographer will still be able to use their creativity to get some amazing photos! :) Whether you are after romantic wedding shots, or super fun wedding shots.. We can always get something to work in the rain :D

Still worried about rain on your wedding day?

I have put together a few rainy wedding day tips to help put your mind at ease a little more.

I always keep umbrellas in the back of my car, you can feel free to buy a few also (if you want extras for guests or a specific style of umbrella).
These photos from Rosie and Bens Wedding below, we managed to hide under some trees so it wasn't all bad :)

For Laura and Ollie's wedding day... It literally did rain heavy for most of the day. They still enjoyed their wedding to the fullest!

This photo below we got right at the end of their day and it ended up being one of their favourite photos!
I set everything up before the photo was taken so all Laura and Ollie had to do was step outside, then one minute later we were heading back indoors again! <3

Last little tips I can think of......

*Sort some cool footwear out ... Wellies comes first to mind?!
*Talk to your venue for the best indoor locations for if the group photos do have to be brought indoors
*Think of the dramatic skies you sometimes get after a good downpour! This makes for good photos!

I really do hope the advice on this little post will help you embrace the rain on your wedding day. Did you know a little rain on your day is actually said to be good luck ?!

Let's go dance in the rain!! x

Whether it is singing waiters, or just handing out some lyrics and having a good old sing-song / dance before your meal, I really do believe music can absolutely make a wedding - AND produce some bloody amazing photos at the same time (Keep me busy) !!!! Here you can see a few photos from Amy and Pauls wedding day at Scarborough Spa wedding venue - just look at the fun and energy! I would also like to point out that Groom Paul booked this singing waiter (Jack Ollett) and so bride Amy had absolutely no idea what was happening! The look on her face was priceless! Especially at the end when Jack sang Amy's absolute fave song! :) They also had the biggest conga line I have ever seen and it was just so much fun! (As you can see).

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! 🎉 Planning a small, intimate celebration is such a wonderful journey. Here are a few tips to help you get started: Define Your Vision: Sit down with your partner and discuss your vision for the day. Whether it's a cozy backgarden marquee wedding or an intimate venue, having a clear vision will guide your decisions. Choose a Venue: Look for venues that suit your guest count. Small guest lists open up unique possibilities, such as intimate restaurants, gardens, or boutique venues. Budget Planning: Having a smaller guest list offers flexibility with your budget. Direct your funds toward elements that hold the utmost importance for you. Consider prioritising professional photography or videography; these tangible memories are the lasting treasures from your special day. Time of Year, and Vendor Selection: A smaller wedding may allow for quicker planning. Choose a season that resonates with your vision, and swiftly connect with essential vendors to secure your preferred date. Ensure they have availability and explore suppliers whose offerings align seamlessly with your unique day. The intimate setting creates an opportunity to curate an experience that feels uniquely yours. Venue Location: Top tip: I have photographed a lot of small weddings that have decided to carve a little time into their day to visit a close-by location that holds sentimental value. This could add a unique and intimate touch to your memories. (See photo below).
