My story from past to future

How it all began with photography...

To keep the not-so-interesting part of the story short and sweet... My final grade at college for photography was an A! (Probably one of the only A's I have gotten in life; not gonna lie...I was always more of a C kinda gal)!
 ....
It was during my sisters wedding in 2013 that I then realised I could live a life of weddings and wedding photography! There's just something so magical about shooting wedding days. I can feel the excitement and anticipation even as I write about them!
From weddings to Newborns....

It was at the beginning of 2014 when I saw my first artistic newborn photograph while walking around Birmingham's Photography Show! This sleepy newborn photo stood out to me straight away. The art of the poses, the sleepy laidback-ness of it all! I was amazed by the image and immediately KNEW this is what I had to get into doing alongside weddings!

Fast forward to today and I am getting rid of my studio! But WHY would I do that! I know I have had so many great shoots and happy memories within the studio and everyone who has been their have been the best but with the new year of 2020 I really want to simplify things!
My main (photography) love is being out and about! I have always preferred being able to photograph kids, being kids....outdoors running about, exploring!
Newborn photography will always be a massive, massive love for me so I shall keep doing these but mobile!
I will miss my studio so much but I am ready for this change and still cannot wait to keep exploring whether it be a wedding or family shoot out in the woods! And I am still so happy I will be able to photograph babies within their first week of life!

I guess writing this little post just shows to me in black and white the understanding that I started this 'job' because of the way it made me feel and the way it still does make me feel years later.
It is definitely, 100% a good feel job and at the same time it's so freeing. I am so bloody happy when I am out running around on wedding days!
Also so happy when I knock on your front door and can't wait for that first glimpse of your little beautiful baby! <3

I literally love what I do so much <3 I can't ever see my feelings change on this glorious art I get to create. Please get in touch with the form at the bottom of this page if you want to work with me :)

10x10" is the most popular wedding album. Not too big and not too small. For those who want a larger album then I also offer 12x12" And for those who just want one small enough to sit on the coffee table, or as a gift to family members, then a 8x8" is just the right size. 30 page album is standard, (around 80 images), but extra spreads can be added to the album for an additional £15 per spread. These albums come with an acrylic photo of your choice on the front, I will then design the album from the 80 odd images of your choosing :) the process is simple and straight forward, the only difficult part is being ruthless with the limited images you choose for the album!! Here are some examples of the 10x10" Wedding Albums:

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! 🎉 Planning a small, intimate celebration is such a wonderful journey. Here are a few tips to help you get started: Define Your Vision: Sit down with your partner and discuss your vision for the day. Whether it's a cozy backgarden marquee wedding or an intimate venue, having a clear vision will guide your decisions. Choose a Venue: Look for venues that suit your guest count. Small guest lists open up unique possibilities, such as intimate restaurants, gardens, or boutique venues. Budget Planning: Having a smaller guest list offers flexibility with your budget. Direct your funds toward elements that hold the utmost importance for you. Consider prioritising professional photography or videography; these tangible memories are the lasting treasures from your special day. Time of Year, and Vendor Selection: A smaller wedding may allow for quicker planning. Choose a season that resonates with your vision, and swiftly connect with essential vendors to secure your preferred date. Ensure they have availability and explore suppliers whose offerings align seamlessly with your unique day. The intimate setting creates an opportunity to curate an experience that feels uniquely yours. Venue Location: Top tip: I have photographed a lot of small weddings that have decided to carve a little time into their day to visit a close-by location that holds sentimental value. This could add a unique and intimate touch to your memories. (See photo below).

As I reflect on the beautiful journey of the past year, I feel incredibly lucky to have been able to capture all the joy, love, and laughter that has been present at these special celebrations. One of the things I love most about photographing weddings is the opportunity to capture candid moments of pure joy. I have had the pleasure of photographing weddings in all sorts of locations this year, from rustic barns to fabulous halls, lush land from up in Scotland or down in Herefordshire, each with its own charm and character. No matter whether your wedding takes place in your friends back garden or abroad on the beach, no matter rain or sun, whether simple set-up or something grand, the atmosphere is always filled with excitement and anticipation and it really is the relationships and emotions that make these days great. As a fun wedding photographer, I strive to bring out the personalities of the couples I work with through my photographs. I want each image to reflect the love and happiness they share on their special day. It's moments like the newlyweds breaking out into a spontaneous dance or the entire wedding party erupting into laughter that truly capture the essence of these fun-filled celebrations. Through my photography, I aim to tell a visual story of each wedding, documenting the emotions, connections, and details that make these events unforgettable. From the genuine emotions shared during the vows to the carefully chosen decorations that reflect the couple's style, each element contributes to creating a magical atmosphere. My goal is to capture all of these elements and freeze them in time, allowing couples to relive their special day for years to come. As this year comes to an end, I can't help but feel grateful for the amazing opportunities and incredible couples I've had the pleasure of working with. Capturing the love, laughter, and joy of weddings has been an absolute privilege, and I can't wait to see what the future holds. Cheers to all the fun weddings of 2023 – may the memories created continue to bring happiness and smiles for years to come! As we step into a new year, I'm excited about the love stories yet to unfold. Cheers to all the couples who make my job a real joy.
